Hello Apple User,

In this edition, you'll first learn how to make the text on your screen larger in just a few simple steps. Then you'll learn how to adjust other screen attributes to help you better see your display.
Are you ready? Let's get to work!...
How to Make Text BIGGER
There are two different ways of changing text size on an iOS device— throughDisplay & Brightness settings and then through theAccessibility settings. I suggest trying theDisplay & Brightness method first.
Using the Display and Brightness Settings
- Go toSettings >Display & Brightness, then selectText Size.
- Next, drag the slider to select the font size you want.
If the font isn't big enough, you can increase it a bit more. Keep in mind, making the text too large may make it difficult to navigate apps properly. Experiment on your device to find the best setting.
Please know, this settingwill only affect apps that supportDynamic Type. All Apple's default apps support Dynamic Type, though many third-party apps do not.
Using the Accessibility Settings
If the text size still isn't big enough, you can increase it even more using theLarger Text option in theAccessibility >Display & Text Size Setting.
Remember, making the text too large may make it difficult to navigate apps properly. So experiment with the size options for your best view and usage.
If you have color blindness or other vision challenges, you can customize the display settings to make the screen easier to see.
- Go toSettings >Accessibility >Display & Text Size.
- Adjust any of the following:
- Larger Text: Turn onLarger Accessibility Sizes, then adjust the text size using the Font Size slider.
- NOTE: This setting adjusts to your preferred text size in apps that support Dynamic Type, such as Settings, Calendar, Contacts, Mail, Messages, and Notes.
- Bold Text: Display the text in boldface characters.
- Button Shapes: This setting underlines text you can tap.
- On/Off Labels: This setting indicates switches turned on with "1" and switches turned off with "0".
- Reduce Transparency: This setting reduces the transparency and blurs on some backgrounds.
- Increase Contrast: This setting improves the contrast and legibility by altering color and text styling.
- Differentiate Without Color: This setting replaces user interface items that rely on color to convey information with alternatives.
- Smart Invert or Classic Invert: Smart Invert Colors reverses the colors of the display, except for images, media, and some apps that use dark color styles.
- Color Filters: Tap a filter to apply it. To adjust the intensity or hue, drag the sliders.
- Reduce White Point: This setting reduces the intensity of bright colors.
- Auto-Brightness: This setting automatically adjusts the screen brightness for current light conditions using the built-in ambient light sensor.
And there you go! Now you know how to make the text bigger on your iPhone or iPad screen. Give it a try right now to find the best text size for your viewing comfort.
